'Jahresring' was the starting point for a series of advertisements - an organic head and a geometric head. The two drawings have a corresponding number of segments, contain a roughly equal surface area, and a similar use of the surfaces. They are containers whose contents could be exchanged. On both drawings, mapping was used to put an annual ring raster, surface by surface, 'forwards and backwards'. The organic and geometric solutions relate to each other like the positive to the negative. The work was graphically modified in sixty advertisements.
